Introduction

"This lesson was developed in the course Teaching with WebQuests , a course offered by the Teacher Education Institute ".

This lesson was written in an attempt to bring some creativity to the 8th grade Social Studies curriculum. The cultural history of our nation is oftentimes neglected in class and this WebQuest will give students a taste of American culture from each decade from the 1920's through the 1980's. Students will be assigned a particular decade to research and presentations will be made in class. In addition, I will offer the students the opportunity to create a PowerPoint presentation for extra credit.
